Chasing the Clouds, the Dreams, and the Light
Piano solo, 2026, about four minutes. First Place, Gold Award, Boston International Composition Contest 2026, the only award given in Group C (ages 15 to 18).
Archimedes' Broken Chord
Orchestra, 2026, about seven minutes. This is inspired by the broken chord theorem. The recording is a working version.

String quartet in three movements, 2026, about nine minutes: I. decay, II. architecture of the echo, III. idle hands.

Performing

I have studied piano for thirteen years and yangqin, the Chinese hammered dulcimer, for ten. I also play percussion, and most of my performing is in ensembles.

Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra
Percussion, 2024 to present, including concerts at Symphony Hall in Boston. On October 13, 2024 we played Sanders Theatre.
LHS Wind Ensemble
Percussion. On March 15, 2026 we played the Percy Grainger Wind Band Festival at Symphony Center in Chicago, where I also played solo percussion.
LHS Jazz Big Band
Percussion. On March 16, 2024 we played the Clark Terry UNH Jazz Festival.
LHS Parade Band
2023 to 2024. The band performs annually in the local Patriots' Day Parade and on Memorial Day.
Boston Chinese Musicians Association Orchestra
Yangqin, 2024 to present, more than ten concerts including Jordan Hall and Boston City Hall. In 2024 we played the Boston Lunar New Year Festival Gala at City Hall. An orchestra performance where I play yangqin.
Boston International Asian Music Festival
I lead a band that played the festival at NARA Park in Acton on June 13, 2026.
